I am absolutely obsessed with painting.  

It gives me license to really, fully look at things, drops me right into the meditative state and makes it okay to splash color about and get messy.  

Could there be anything more blissful?  

In my early years I was a musical theater performer, starring in Broadway shows. After that I transitioned into freelance writing, producing pieces for magazines and publishing short fiction.

I discovered painting after a divorce and built a business doing decorative furniture painting. During this time | spent years taking classes and experimenting with collage, oils, acrylics, watercolors and sketching.

I was having so much fun playing around with different mediums that I finally said goodbye to decorating furniture and dove fully into painting on canvas and paper. 

Currently I’m in Santa Barbara, California.  The vibrant energy and beauty that infuses the town continually inspire me. I am fascinated by the shapes in the architectural detail, the movement of the ocean and the colors that surround me. I find it provides the perfect backdrop for what I’m striving to express.
